NAGORNO-KARABAKH ISSUE HAS TO BE SETTLED NOT BY PARLIAMENTS BUT INTERNATIONAL MEDIATORS AND PRESIDENTS, RUSSIAN STATE DUMA SPEAKER THINKS

 

 

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The issue of Nagorno Karabakh has to be settled by the international organizations and first of all by the OSCE and the presidents and not by the national parliaments. RF State Duma speaker Gennady Seleznev who is in Baku with a visit expressed this opinion. At the press conference that took place after the meeting with the Azeri parliament chair Murtuz Aleskerov, answering the question whether the State Duma would be able to initiate the consideration of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, the speaker stated: "We are against the settlement of such issues publicly. To settle this issue, smart and delicate diplomats, international organization that will appoint observers as well as effective work of the president are needed". According to Seleznev, the OSCE Minsk group on the Karabakh opposition settlement has not made its presence felt yet.
