OUTSTANDING PEOPLE OF KARABAGH
NAZAROV KONSTANTIN ALEXANDER (1923 - ) Born in 1923
in Kislovodsk to a family from Artsakh. A Hero of the Soviet Union and
a Major General. During the Great Patriotic War was commander of a commander
of an anti-aircraft artillery battery. Later he served in various military
sections. Awarded with Lenin Order, Gold Star medal, two Orders of Patriotic
War, etc.

NAZARYAN TIGRAN HAKOBJAN (1858-1926): A journalist, editor, and public
figure. Born to a family from Shushi. As a mandated representative of
Karabagh and Zangezur, in 1919 Nazaryan went abroad for conducting the
talks with the Entente countries on the Karabagh problem by initially
agreeing the principal issues of discussion with the National delegation
in Paris. Nazaryan returned to his homeland in 1924. Following the example
of the Committee of Assistance to Armenia, Nazaryan created a Committee
of Assistance to Karabagh, elaborated an development program of economy,
culture and literature of Karabagh but did not manage to implement it
given the political situation. In 1925 he visited Shushi. His impressions
are reflected in his dairy where the detailed picture of the destroyed
part of Shushi is given.
NASIBYAN ARMEN ARTEM (1930 ) - Member of the Composers' Union of
the USSR. Born in 1930 in Stepanakert. In 1966 graduated from Yerevan
State Conservatoire. During 1975-1983 he was director of the music school
in Stepanakert. From 1989 Nasibyan was member of the Composers' Union
of the USSR. He was author of romances, a vocal poem and etudes for the
piano. kat
NZHDEH (TER-HARUTYUNYAN GAREGIN) (1886-1955) Àn Armenian political
figure and military serviceman. Born in 1886 in Nakhichevan, finished
the school in Tiflis. In 1907 he successfully concluded the officers'
school in Sofia. Together with Andranik, Nzhdeh participated in the first
Balkan War. In 1918 Njhdeh took part in Gharakilisa Battle. In November,
1918 Nzhdeh was appointed commander of the troops in Zangezur. He organized
the defense of Zangezur from the Turkish-Azerbaijani forces. Nzhdeh is
the author of a number of poems and essays.
NICOL DUMAN (NICOGHAES TER-HOVHANNISYAN) (1867-1914) Born in 1867
in Gshlag of Khachen Province (Nagorno Karabagh) to a family of a clergyman.
In the course of the Armenian-Turkish war participated in the defense
of the Armenians of Erivan Province. In 1910 he was one of the participants
of the International Socialist Congress in Copenhagen. In the same year
he participated in the Iranian Revolution.
