OUTSTANDING PEOPLE OF KARABAGH
OSIPOV (HOVSEPYAN) OSIP SAHAK (1912 - ) Born in 1912
in Kagavart village of Martuni Region (Nagorno Karabagh). A bearer of
Distinction Orders. From the very first days of the Great Patriotic War
Osipov served as a sapper in the 89th Armenian Taman Army, participated
in the liberation of Crimea, Kerch. In addition, he fought in the battles
on the Oder. Osipov was awarded with three Distinction Orders, various
medals for the defense of Caucasus, heroism, seizure of Berlin, Warsaw,
etc.
